Why I Joined Aeva

"Many of the women I speak to have been treading a long, lonely path trying to put together lots of pieces of a puzzle themselves to work out why they are struggling with a growing list of symptoms. I am honoured to join Aeva in helping women feel truly seen, heard and supported in their health journey, taking an integrative approach and joining all the pieces of the puzzle to understand the common root causes which are putting the body in a place of 'fight' rather than peace and wellness."

My Approach

We'll start with a free introductory chat to ensure I'm the right person to support you. Once you've booked your initial consultation, I'll ask you to complete a health and wellbeing assessment. Your consultation is a supportive space to share your challenges and goals, ask questions, then together we'll create a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan tailored to your daily life for maximum early benefit. You may feel confident following your personalised plan independently. For the best results, I recommend my nutrition support package, which offers ongoing guidance and adjustments over four weeks, helping you navigate challenges which crop up such as stress, travel or eating out, allowing maximal accountability and support for optimal health changes.

Why Rebecca Hiscutt is an Aeva Expert

Testimonials

"I am no longer pre-diabetic, my blood pressure is normal, I have lost 1.5 stone by eating sensibly; and I am full of energy. I’m no longer going to medicate my way out of ill health. I’m back in business"
Fiona
"The biggest change has been the brain fog, it used to affect me every day and really knocked my confidence at work. Now I feel clear-headed and confident speaking in meetings and presenting. And my energy levels have completely shifted. I’d been tired for years and honestly had forgotten what it was like to have energy."
Laura - Nutrition to support peri-menopausal symptoms
Jo, 62: Reversing Pre-Diabetes and Reclaiming Energy
The Struggle

Ten years of declining health including high fatigue, weight gain, hypertension, insulin resistance, and undiagnosed pre-diabetes. Jo struggled to feel her best while managing a demanding job with extensive travel and caring for her family. She thought feeling sluggish, tired, foggy-headed, and experiencing cravings were simply normal parts of ageing. It wasn't until discussing her symptoms that she had her HbA1c levels checked and discovered she had pre-diabetes.

Previous Attempts

Only anti-hypertensives. Jo had no structured approach to addressing the root metabolic issues affecting her health and didn't realise the extent of her condition.

Approach

Time-restricted eating personalised to her work and travel commitments, a high-protein whole food diet with carbohydrates reduced to less than 130g daily to reduce insulin resistance, and short achievable strength training sessions that could be adapted wherever she was. Markers including HbA1c, fasting glucose, triglycerides, HDL-C:TG ratio, visceral fat, and skeletal muscle mass were monitored throughout. She worked in collaboration with her GP (who had a specialist interest in metabolic health), personal trainers, and holistic practitioners.

The Timeline

1 week: Energy difference noticeable, blood pressure reduced
4 weeks: HbA1c reduced, achieved her weight target and had to reset it
3 months: HbA1c further reduced, no longer pre-diabetic, blood pressure continued to reduce, first weight target achieved
6 months: Found the lifestyle changes most powerful for her, adapted the plan with more flexibility for long-term sustainability

Current Status

Jo is maintaining her healthy HbA1c levels with consistent energy and wellbeing. The lifestyle changes have become second nature, allowing for the occasional flexibility while keeping her metabolic health in check.

Cora, 29: Freedom from Debilitating Migraines
The Struggle

Since her teens, Cora had suffered from debilitating migraines that left her unable to function, exhausted after each episode, and frequently off work sick. The pain stripped away her ability to exercise or enjoy time with family and friends. Despite increasing medication doses, no specialists were offering options to address or explore the root cause of her migraines. She felt exhausted, fed up, depressed, and desperate for something that would work.

Previous Attempts

Migraine and pain medication with increasing doses, but no exploration of underlying causes or holistic support.

Approach

A ketogenic diet, which shows great promise for migraines, alongside specific nutrient supplements, hydration, and sodium first thing each morning. As she began to feel better, additional lifestyle habits were introduced. Insulin resistance checks and a KetoMojo monitor assessed ketone and glucose levels. She worked alongside her GP (with a specialist interest in metabolic health) and her consultants.

The Timeline

3 weeks: Migraines began to subside, less frequent and less painful, increase in energy and mood
2 months: Able to return to work, migraines less frequent and less intense, even when a migraine occurred she was able to work through it
6 months: Continued improvement in migraines

Current Status

Cora is maintaining her results and enjoying newfound freedom. She chose to spend her birthday climbing a mountain with her family rather than going out for a meal, a celebration that would have been unthinkable before.
